I am an primary school teacher and I started the Yoga course in the fourth class, now the students are in the fifth. I must say that the course has been a stimulus for me to learn and teach in a new way. The students responded well from the beginning to the stories of Arjuna that have stimulated dialogue in the class and the comparison of emotions and ideas. Reasoning became deeper and deeper, concentration and attention levels increased. The sequences were performed with enthusiasm, not only during my lessons, but also with my colleagues who got involved in this process. I have seen many improvements in the classroom atmosphere and in individual students and I really believe that, now that I’ve started, I will not abandon it: Arjuna will be my companion of adventures …… The course is well structured, intense and full of materials and working tools for students and teachers. I highly recommend it.

  2. I am Fulvia,
I received this proposal at the beginning of the school year, as soon as I met the 25 students that I’m going to accompany for a while, some of them seemed very lively and “bubbly”, so I told myself that I could try to “throw myself” into this adventure, which intrigued me a lot, right from the start.
Now it’s only been a few months, every day we practice five steps and the children participate with curiosity and enthusiasm in the proposals. Honestly, I am always speechless when I see them so concentrated and above all so quiet: they find their place, settle down and start practicing. Honestly, I myself am waiting for this moment to sit down and find some calmness.
At the end the children say how they feel, increasing their awareness, a skill that will always be useful in order to be more reflective.
The stories give a lot of food for thought. It definitely takes time to plan how to present them to the children, especially the toddlers, but they listen with interest.
The children have begun to understand how the mantras are important for daily activities, and I like very much that at the base there are values that I believe are fundamental for the well-being of everyone and that we teachers can help cultivate.
The children know Gianpietro and repeat his words with his same intonation, with us teachers it is super encouraging and positive, giving value to our work.

I teach English in third grade classes: I started the Yoga program in class last March. I find the didactic material provided effective (the Mantras offer various cues to deepen the relational issues) and so are the application procedures of the practice. Although the amount of work scheduled is considerable, the Classroom makes the work much easier. I proceed very slowly for organizational reasons and schedules: the students themselves ask me to start every lesson with the exercises and especially with the Educational Stories (the protagonists and their dialogues attract their attention). Very effective are also the relaxation exercises that allow them to stay in silence, listening to their physical and psychic sensations.

  4. Doing “Yoga in the Classroom” is an extraordinary experience. Every morning the children ask me to start the day with the Five Steps exercises and of course I am very happy to satisfy them. They perform their routine with joy and they have fun, but immediately after they know how to concentrate and relax, thanks to the indications of our teacher Gianpietro. I had no idea that I would be able to achieve these results in a short time and right away. The educational stories and mantras are also very popular with the children and represent an important and fascinating opportunity for reflection and comparison. Children listen to them very attentively and silently and remember them even after weeks. Mantras then accompany our school days. It often happens that there are children, more reflective, who remind their companions, perhaps those more lively or emotional, the mantras that help us to control our emotions and our behavior. They say to themselves: “….. do as our yoga teacher tells us”! Finally, it is amazing to observe the children during the moment of concentration and relaxation: they live this moment motionless and with their eyes closed, with participation and true involvement. It is truly a fantastic experience.

  5. Hi, my name is Agnese and I teach at Massa Macinaia Primary School. I started this project in February with the third class and I’m continuing this year with the fourth class. From the very beginning, the boys and girls have reacted positively and with enthusiasm. The stories are very engaging and provide lots of food for thought. Every morning we do the five step exercises and they have become one of our many routines. Even the more lively children have found benefit from this project.
It takes time and energy, but it is definitely worth it.
    Hello to all from Agnese.

  6. I am a primary school teacher. I value the trainer positively, always available, ready to dispel doubts and provide advice. Parents and children are responding positively and enthusiastically to the educational proposal.

  7. The training course is of high educational value, is qualitatively structured, and provides valuable materials for teachers to apply in the classroom. The children are delighted with the activities.

  8. Alessandra Omini

I am a primary school teacher and I am teaching in a first class. This course corresponded to a desire of mine: to bring the practice of yoga, which does so much good for everyone, into the classroom, a place where it is particularly needed. Right from the first meetings I immediately saw the benefits of this practice with only 10 minutes a day.
The trainer is available, responds to any doubt or question quickly, is full of enthusiasm and follows step by step the training path of each of us, he even called me to see how it was going! In the virtual classroom there is all the material to be able to work in the classroom with the children and nothing is left to chance, you can really see that it is thought through so carefully.
The children are happy to do the practice, even those that I wouldn’t have thought would take it so seriously. I’m really pleased with how it’s going.

  9. I am Elisabetta, an elementary school teacher, I am passionate about yoga, arts, mindfulness….
I met this path and immediately I was excited.
This path is rich, stimulating and offers a valuable support for classroom activities.
The girls and children are delighted every time I offer the course activities.
It is becoming a pleasant habit to get together and find new energy; the activities proposed have allowed us to activate explorations of new strategies and analyze attitudes to be implemented or “abandoned”. A course to be experienced to broaden new horizons and promote new ways to achieve a serene classroom atmosphere…

  10. I started the yoga program in the classroom a few weeks ago. But the positive effects on the children are already visible: more concentration in the educational activities and less anxiety in facing the day. I have been amazed that some students are reflecting more on their behavior and taking responsibility for inappropriate behavior. As a person as well as a teacher, I am following some basic principles of Yoga in the classroom and I am rediscovering a renewed energy in doing various daily activities and more enthusiasm in practicing teaching. I highly recommend this training course which is challenging but highly satisfying.

  11. The search for something that could help improve the concentration of male and female students was like a “woodworm” for me. I approached this proposal with curiosity and interest.
I must say that I like it very much because I find myself in the values and practices of the “Senza Zaino” model of my school.
I work in a first class composed of 24 students from different countries.
Initially the proposal made them laugh, but now that we have started a while ago, a warm and embracing atmosphere has been created with them. During the day we have the opportunity to reflect together on some aspect of the work we are doing or on a behavior and they respond to me by quoting a mantra 🙂

  12. I have been practicing from March, first with the distant learning and than face to face in the classroom. I find the method really interesting because it gives myself, my colleagues and the students as well an occasion to the values that often because of superficiality, lack of time we risk to put aside. I noticed the enthusiasm during the practice, the improvement of the concentration during the activities and a more evident attitude to question themselves.I worked with a fifth class in a very hard period of their grow and their life, and the use of the stories and the exercises allowed me to face very important issued and to manage some relationship dynamics. It was indeed the fact that this practice was introduced before non structured moments that allowed them to correctly manage classmates relations that could have been critical. It was a highly instructive course.

We are two teachers who work in the same classrooms and we have already experimented with the Five Steps method in the previous five-year period.
This year we are working in two first classes and in a few days we will start the project with the children.
According to our experience, the method has led to excellent results, which were also noted by parents and external experts who attended the class.
The children have participated willingly in the activity, which over time has become a pleasant habit which they request.
The results, in terms of concentration and improvement from a relational point of view, have been excellent.
While studying the new material, we appreciated the in-depth study of yoga in teaching: we like to think that children will learn to appreciate any topic proposed regardless of the difficulty or theme.

  14. I have practiced yoga for many years, starting when I was 15 years old, personally experiencing the bodily and mental well-being linked to this discipline. That’s why I enthusiastically accepted the opportunity to hold a course to introduce it to primary school children. Yoga is not only a set of Asana or positions, but a philosophy of life that generates a well-being in the body and mind of those who practice it. Through the execution of simple exercises performed every day for 10 minutes children reach important achievements. Concentration, self-discipline, learning to face everything with enthusiasm, gaining confidence in their own abilities, learning to observe carefully, consolidating happy habits (“We are what we do most often” said Aristotle), doing things “one grain at a time” (concentrating on what you are doing, putting everything else in second place).
I work in a first grade classroom. My children have embraced yoga with joy. It has improved their relationship with their bodies, their ability to focus, to relax, to keep quiet in class. Through this class you can help children gradually learn about themselves and their possibilities not only physically but mentally. They are taught to love everything they do, regardless of the assignment and grade. Through Yoga an education in values and Life is passed on. As a teacher, I can only be thrilled to have embarked on this journey with my kids!

I’m a primary school teacher. I started teaching yoga to my students (that are now in the fourth class) already from their first year, but that was just once a week, when the gym was available. Thankf to the course Yoga in Classe I found the way to practice every morning with great benefits for everyone. Even now that we are restricted to distance learning we do the exercises with the support of the video from 9 to 9:10 am. The stories, the reflections, the concentration and motivation exercices together with the five steps give concrete results. The teacher Gian Pietro is always very keen to accompany, encourage and dispel the doubts. è sempre molto disponibile ad accompagnare, incoraggiare e dissipare dubbi. The material available is huge, very well prepared and all easily available on the classroom. For me, things have been a little easier thanks to the support of my colleague Vittoria. Every morning one or the other were there for the five steps and we supported each other in the preparation of the activities and the material. The course is very demanding for the teacher, but the results on the wellbeing of the children are guaranteed.

I began this Yoga journed just about 1 month ago. I have a first class in the primary school which is particularly difficult, with several (Challenging??) children who find it difficult to concentrate and I must say, with my surprise, I already see tiny changes in their behaviours. Every morning, after the five steps and before starting the class the children are able to work with increased attention. And what to say about children that often couldn’t manage their emotions, especially their rage, giving hard times especially to the teachers? Now they seem to be more conscious about their own actions and their wrong behaviours, more open to find solutions, able to recognize their wrong beliefs and ready to change them. Many times they are able to this by theirselves and this makes them happy… This process makes us teacher extremely satisfied and more and more convinced about the choice we made for the wellbeing of everyone, ours included!!! Today I feel that the enthusiasm in teaching that I always had, but which seemed to get lost for a while, is renovated and I learned to always keep in mind that everything is obtainen “one grain at a time”! I’m really happy that I met a special person like Gian Pietro that always has interesting and precious material for us. Those contents make the children curious and at the same time give us teachers a lot of ideas about how to face educational matters together with the children. Furthermore, he is always available, very careful about our individual journey and always ready with useful suggestions. So just subscribe! What are you waiting for?

I am a physical education teacher at a primary school. Even having just a few hours a week, I am slowly seeing the benefits of yoga on children.
The course is of a very high quality; the instructional materials, dispensational tools and procedures are good and impactful on the children. Although the amount of work is large, the Classroom makes everything simple and easy to understand, making the material always at hand.
Giampietro has proven to be an excellent teacher, engaging and comprehensive, also available privately; he can customize the course according to your needs.
I recommend the course to everyone, it is an experience of professional but also personal growth.

  18. I am a primary school teacher and a few weeks ago I started the Yoga program in a first class. I must say with satisfaction that the children are responding very well to the proposal. Since the beginning I have noticed improvements, especially in those children who usually struggle to concentrate during the activity.
The path is still very long and challenging, but with “One Grain at a Time” I’m sure we will reach our goal successfully!
I highly recommend this course to all my colleagues.
